Conductive slip ring is designed to solve the problem of winding in the process of rotation in engineering design. Therefore, the electrical and mechanical parameters of slip rings must meet the requirements of the equipment used. Of course, in the process of use will inevitably encounter some problems. Some of this is due to the product itself, but also because some problems in the selection process is ignored, of course, may be caused by improper use of the user process.
1) Rotation problem of conductive slip ring: Since the standard slip ring does not have load-bearing function, when users use the slip ring, excessive weight bearing or impact will cause damage to the slip ring. When the application environment requires load-bearing or heavy impact of the slip ring, they need to communicate with us to choose load-bearing slip ring or impact resistant slip ring.
2) Direct short circuit between two adjacent routes of slip ring: due to accidental impact or excessive vibration, the filamentous brush runway is caused, resulting in short circuit between adjacent routes. Aseismic packing should be used as far as possible in the process of packaging operation, and aseismic design should be adopted in the vibration environment.
3) The protection level shall be achieved: in an environment with water or high humidity or large dust, the conductive slip ring without waterproof and dustproof design is used, which will cause water inflow inside the slip ring, internal short circuit, or a large amount of dust entering the slip ring, resulting in slip ring failure.
4) Overload burn of slip ring: the maximum current allowed by slip ring is the safe operating current value determined by comprehensive factors such as the cross-sectional area of conductive ring, brush contact area, brush and contact surface pressure, speed and so on. Beyond this value, the conductive slip ring may heat up, or ignite on the contact surface, or even form a welding spot between the brush and the conductive ring. Although a certain safety factor will be considered in the design stage of the conductive slip ring, it is still recommended that the customer provide the slip ring manufacturer with the maximum current actually used.
